Already from a young age, music was a big part of Laura's (1995) life, but it wasn't until she stumbled upon a cd of Chet Baker in her parents attic, that she discovered what would later turn out to be her great love: Jazz.

Laura's big passion lies with the Great American Songbook, bringing the timeless songs of George Gershwin, Irving Berlin and Duke Ellington to the public. As guest soloist with The Fried Seven she brings the repertoire of the 1920's back to life, and with the band Vondelier her love for the Dutch language collides with beautiful jazz compositions.

In 2019 Laura graduated cum laude from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. In 2022 she was granted a Special Appreciation Award by the jury of the Laren Jazz Award. Over the years, Laura has sung in the BIMHUIS, het Concertgebouw and the Grachtenfestival among others.
