Already from a young age, music was a big part of Laura's (1995) life, but it wasn't until she stumbled upon a cd of Chet Baker in her parents attic, that she discovered what would later turn out to be her great love: Jazz.

From the age of 17, Laura was a student at the Junior Jazz College of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she graduated cum laude from the bachelor in 2019.

Laura's big passion lies with the Great American Songbook, bringing the timeless songs of George Gershwin, Irving Berlin and Duke Ellington to the public. With the band Vondelier her love for the Dutch language collides with beautiful jazz compositions.

In 2022, Laura was granted a Special Appreciation Award by the jury of the Laren Jazz Award.

Over the years, Laura has sung in the BIMHUIS, het Concertgebouw and the Grachtenfestival among others.
